What Is
This?

Spiff’s Unmentionables is basically my blog rebuilt as a pixelated world.

I’ve made plenty of websites before. Some looked professional. Some were clean. Some were probably even pleasant to use.

They all had one problem.

They were fucking boring.

Spiff’s is my attempt to make something I actually want to keep building.

Instead of just clicking through a normal menu, you can wander around, explore, talk to strange people, find stupid little secrets, and eventually stumble across the things I’ve written.

The library contains my stories.

Other parts of the world will contain articles, videos, experiments, games, and whatever else I decide belongs here.

Right now, Spiff’s is somewhere between an interactive blog, a game, and a steadily expanding collection of things I make when my brain decides it absolutely needs a new project.

There is also an actual world being built underneath all of this.

Characters have stories. Places have reasons for existing. Weird things are happening in the background. Some of it is obvious. Some of it probably won’t make sense for a long time.

That is intentional.

You do not need to understand any of it to use the site.

If you are here because you want to read, everything is still available through normal navigation.

If you are here because you want to wander around a pixelated world and fuck with things, I have you covered there too.

Spiff’s is constantly changing.

New stories get added. New areas appear. Characters move in. Systems get rebuilt. Things break. Things get fixed. Occasionally something works on the first try and I become deeply suspicious.

There is no grand release date where this suddenly becomes finished.

The site itself is the project.

So wander around.

Read something.

Ignore the reading and go explore.

Come back later and there will probably be something new.
